frequently asked questions

chat via docline

Through our chat, you can talk to one of our healthcare providers any day (even on weekends), any time between 07:00 and 21:00. The only thing you have to do is register with DocLine and log in using your DigiD.

You can chat about general questions, practical tips, or mild personal medical complaints. Because we will need access to your medical file to advise on personal medical issues, you can only use the chat to discuss personal medical issues if you are a DocLine patient. Not a patient yet? Register now.

One of our healthcare providers at the Medical Contact Centre will answer your chat question. If needed, your question will be forwarded to a GP.

The chat is secured, so nobody can look at your conversation. We ask you to log in using your DigiD, so that we can be certain we’re dealing with the right person (for practical questions, logging in is not required). By logging in, you give one-time permission for the nurse practitioner or GP of the chat team to view and update your medical file. That way, your healthcare provider can provide you with personal medical advice.

As a parent, you can also use the chat to ask a question about your child, provided your child is under the age of 16. To do this, log in using your child’s DigiD. A DigiD can be requested for anyone from the moment they’re born.

Is your child under the age of 12? Then you can ask a question and make treatment decisions via the chat.

Is your child between 12 and 16 years old? Then you can still ask your question via the chat. Treatment decisions cannot be made via the chat because these require the consent of both the parent(s) and the child. For this, please book a telephone or video consultation.

Is your child 16 or over? In that case, it will not be possible to ask questions via the chat on behalf of your child, or to decide on their treatment. From the age of 16, your child makes their own decisions about their healthcare.

You can also chat with us if you’re under the age of 16.

Are you under the age of 12? Then you can log in using your own DigiD and ask your question. Treatment decisions cannot be made via the chat. Your parent(s) can book an appointment for this at the practice.

Are you between 12 and 16 years old? Then you can log in using your own DigiD and ask your question. Treatment decisions cannot be made via the chat because these require the consent of both your parent(s) and yourself. For this, please book a telephone or video consultation.

Are you 16 or over? Then you can log in with your own DigiD to ask a question via the chat and to make treatment decisions.
